Transitioning Your Skincare from Summer to Autumn

Although we seem to be having a sultry Indian summer, we know that that cooler days are on their way. As with every change of season, our routines and requirements change as well. In our wardrobes cotton and linen are swapped for cashmere and wool and so with our skincare routine things need to be adapted to the up-coming season.

The end of summer often sees skin dehydrated and suffering the lasting effects of sun exposure. It can feel dry and patchy as the last of the tan fades. As the heating comes on, the dehydration gets worse. Just try leaving a moistened tissue near a radiator to see how quickly it dries out, and then imagine your skin reacting in the same way.

Here's a few suggestions to keep your skin hydrated and glowing well into the Autumn days ahead.

Switch up your cleanser

If you’ve never tried a cream cleanser or balm now is the time to give one a go. The benefits of using this type of product are two-fold. The skin is super-clean but also super soft and not dried out at all. Make up is thoroughly dissolved and pores swept clean. Massage the cleanser well in and remove with a muslin cloth or tissue. No need for a toner unless your skins is usually oily.

Try our Honey and Propolis Cream Cleanser

Fall in love with a daily facial massage

Spending just a minute of two a day massaging your skin with a facial oil it not only fabulously beneficial for your complexion but its deeply relaxing too. Using firm upward strokes all over the face and throat will encourage blood flow and lymphatic drainage giving the skin cells a rush of oxygen and nutrients as well as clearing away toxins and dead cells.  This will keep you glowing well into the winter months.

Bask in the glow with an enzyme face mask

Not talking about the anti-covid type of course, rather a rich, honey-based formula to restore moisturiser and a healthy glow. When the skin is over dry, dead cells accumulate on the surface making it look dull and a bit grey. Using an enzyme mask to lift off dead cells, allows nourishing and softening ingredients to get to work. Our Necta Perfecta mask literally sweeps away the rough, dead skin cells and plumps up the epidermis to leave the skin glowing and soft. Use at least once a week for best results.
