With the clocks about to change, the occasional glimpse of some hazy sun and the sight of spring flowers tentatively nudging their way through the soil, there is every indication spring is on its way - at last! As our bees begin to revitalise and acclimatise themselves to the new season so too should we.
Notoriously slovenly, our skin needs a kick-start from head to toe and there is no better way to start the day than with a good and thorough cleanse – of spirit and skin!
Regular, twice daily cleansing is so important to achieve and maintain healthy, calm, hydrated and balanced skin. We offer two cleansers in the Bee Good range. Both are award winners and are loved by our customers and bloggers across the generations for different and multiple reasons. One is a cream and one a liquid – see which one puts a spring in your step.
A ‘Dream’ Cream Cleanse:
Good cream cleansers work by gently dissolving make-up and grime, and with the help of a muslin cloth can sweep away any dead skin cells that sit on the surface of the skin making it dull and parched. Choose wisely as it’s essential that your cleanser has lots of moisturising goodness too so that the skin’s natural lipids remain intact and to avoid skin feeling tight or dry after use.
Our Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser contains the wonderful British bee ingredients you would expect. Honey, a non-stripping wonder ingredient for all skin types, locks in water and aids hydration. Propolis helps to combat breakouts and rebalances even the most sensitive of skins. Beeswax, rich in Vitamin A encourages additional hydration. British sourced Rapeseed oil helps to bring some added magic to our Cream Cleanser – vibrant and sunshine yellow it helps support the skin and protects against the environment. We love’s it’s antioxidant properties and sunny smile!
Little known, but often compared to jojoba oil, nourishing Crambe oil mimics human sebum and can control the overproduction of sebum which can lead to acne. For other skin types, crambe is great at supporting moisturisation.
This healthy cocktail of precious naturally effective British ingredients produces a luxuriously creamy cleanser that glides effortlessly over the skin.
A Hint of Mint:
If you prefer a lighter, quicker, more liquid cleanse, pep up the skin with the cooling, soothing and refreshing micellar Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water. So handy for dousing on cotton wool and really getting to task with makeup removal as well as toning and brightening up the skin as it goes – it also smells divine! With the British bee ingredients working hard to rebalance and prevent infection, red algae gently freshens and brightens without stripping and wild water mint calms and revives, it’s gentle and effective.
Our Honey & Wild Water Mint Cleansing Water has been voted Best Eye Makeup Remover by the well-respected Beauty Shortlist, beating products from several major pharmaceutical brands.
The Beauty Shortlist said this about our cleanser... "This sustainably-produced sweep-off-makeup Cleansing Water was a revelation for us this year. The calming, purifying blend of British wild flower honey, propolis, water mint and red algae cleanses, tones and brightens - a really great product for younger skin and a "no problem" makeup remover for skin that's much more mature, too"
Springtime top tips:
Cream cleansers are sublime if you have a few extra minutes to cleanse a second time, massaging the skin and really stimulating those blood cells into action.
Support a good cleanse with a cleansing juice or smoothie too. Try mixing lots of fruits and vegetables that have a high water content like cucumbers and orange to give your smoothies a feeling of light and air. We found this one on Babble that sounds just perfect!
